Why Weakness is the Way

Why Weakness is the Way

About the Movement

The Weak Church Alliance is a growing network of pastors and churches committed to leading with vulnerability, not strength. This movement was born out of my own breakdown as a pastor—when the pressure to perform almost destroyed me. It was in the ashes of burnout and shame that God began to rebuild something new: a ministry founded not on success, but surrender.

We believe the church is at its best when it stops pretending and starts being honest—about our limitations, wounds, and desperate need for grace.

Our Vision

A global movement of churches and pastors embracing weakness to unleash God’s supernatural power.

Our Mission

The Weak Church Alliance exists to equip, connect, and empower churches and pastors to courageously embrace their weakness as the starting point for unleashing God’s supernatural power. Through coaching, resources, conferences, and community, we foster a countercultural movement of leaders committed to vulnerability, humility, and deep transformation from the inside out.

Core Values

Vulnerability

Vulnerability

We believe true spiritual power starts where pretending stops. Vulnerability isn’t weakness—it’s the doorway to real connection with God and others. As pastors and leaders, we lead with our wounds, not just our wisdom, trusting that God’s grace flows through our cracks. In a world chasing strength and success, we choose to be honest, exposed, and fully human.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

Humility

Humility

We believe leadership begins with surrender, not self-confidence. Humility means knowing we’re not the center—Jesus is. At the Weak Church Alliance, we reject the drive to prove, compete, or control. Following Christ’s example, we choose to serve. Humility isn’t thinking less of ourselves, but thinking of ourselves less, making space for God’s power.

Philippians 2:5–8 (NIV)

Emotional Health

Emotional Health

We believe spiritual maturity requires emotional maturity. At the Weak Church Alliance, we do the hard, holy work beneath the surface. Emotional health isn’t optional—it’s essential. Unprocessed pain and hidden wounds will always distort how we lead and how we love. That’s why we pursue self-awareness, honesty, and inner healing—not to be perfect, but to be whole.

Psalm 139: 23–24 (NIV)

Impartation

Impartation

At the Weak Church Alliance, we don’t just teach the way of weakness—we live it, we embody it, and we impart it to others. Our calling is to raise up pastors and leaders who will carry this countercultural vision into their own ministries and their own communities.

2 Timothy 2:2 (NIV)
